PIC NIC MURAL
Carnegie Museum of Art
Curated by Jason Busch, the Pic Nic Mural acts as a backdrop to the furniture originally found in Mary Schenley's summer home in Pennsylvania. The mural depicts the layout and ornamentation that once adorned her ballroom. Interestingly, the furniture is entirely faux grained rosewood and the original plaster mouldings can be found across the street at the University of Pittsburgh's International Rooms.
